What to do if content are missing in the export document

SAP Design Studio gives you lots of possibilities to customize the design of your dashboard using CSS styles and custom components.
As a consequence, the generation of Export documents is quite sophisticated. This is why SAP's standard export deos not support several components in the export.

Our biExport platform on the other hand does not have any such restrictions. However, you sometimes might experience missing styles or missing contents.

Here is what you can do in these cases:

1. If icons are missing:
   1. Try to activate the checkbox "Parse Images in CSS" in the Export component (documentation section 6.3)
   2. If you are using characters of special fonts (such as SAPIcons), make sure to install the font on the server (documentation section 1.2.2)
   3. If you are using Windows proprietary fonts such as Wingdings or Webdings, investigate if you could use a unicode character instead (Blog: How to export wingdings characters....)
2. If components are missing or show broken content:
   1. Try to raise the Customizing Parameter EXPORT_WAITTIME to 3000 or 5000 ms (documentation section 6.3)
   2. If this does not help, check the CSS sizes of the missing parts. They should not defined smaller than 1px (documentation section 6.7)
   3. If still content is missing, try to set the EXPORT_ENGINE Customizing parameter to MSHTML or CHROMIUM (default is GECKO - documentation section 6.10)
